The shadows beneath the pears need the same treatment that the pears have. The stalk also need the same crosshatch treatment in the hole it's resting in to soften it up a bit. I really like this. The really makes the pears seem glowy.

interesting, i kinda like the abstract feel to it, but I think it's kinda hard cos there is no direct feel for light source...so you have light colours where there is dark colours and it just needs a bit more mixing feel to it

yeah Clym, looks too hard and rigid to me as well. i totally agree with setting a point of light source. that's a really great tip! thanks. give it more depth and shadowing
